1. Mission – to create new Porsche web site. It needs to have a main page and at least 3 linked pages. You can have more than three buttons on the main page, just have 3 actual other pages. Use some of their text from their site (http://www.porsche.com/usa/). Use some of their text for your linked page. The text in design is also referred to as “copy”. You can use images you find on the internet. COnsider their size. You can’t use images from the Porsche Web site. You can use their logo. You can use some of their design concepts, but your design needs to look different than theirs..

2. Use the interface design process.

3. I’m your client. I need to sign off on all steps.

4. This needs to look professional. Imagine it will really be used by Porsche.

5. For ideas look at other car web sites. Steal ideas. Don’t make your site look exactly like another site, but you could take a color combination from one site, part of a design idea from another site, etc.

6. As your client I’ll be making suggestions as you go through the process. Design is always a collaborative process.

7. Use what you know in your design.

Be sure I go over with you:
Making transparent boxes
Making paths
Stroking paths
Making triangles
Making lines
Adjusting font families, styles, tracking, leading
Cropping pictures.
Putting rounded corners on pictures.
Gradients (be careful with these, often overused).
