MENU ITEMS

Switch the camera to CAMERA (power button area)
Open the LCD screen
Press the FUNC (function) button

How do you turn the image effects off?

At the bottom of the functions screen click on MENU

In the CAMERA SETUP SECTION be sure: shutter is set to A, A SL shutter is set to ON, zoom type is set to 37X, Zoom speed VARIABLE, Img stab (image stabilization) set to ON, Wide Screen is set to on or off, depending on what you need.

In the VCR SETUP SECTION be sure: rec mode is set to SP (never LP), TV Type is set to 4:3 or 16:9 depending on what you need.

In the AUDIO SETUP SECTION be sure: Wind screen is set to A, Audio mode is set to 16bit (if you don't all of you sound will need to be rendered when editing).
